Africompassion

Collaborative

Project Introduction

Africompassion works to help impoverished children and families become self-reliant and rise out of poverty. We sponsor a school for orphans and impoverished children in Kogaja--a village in the Mara region of Tanzania--and drill wells to provide clean water for villagers. Africompassion, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities across Africa, embarked on a transformative rebranding journey. This endeavor aimed to modernize the organization's identity, enhance its outreach efforts, and foster greater engagement with stakeholders.

Objectives and Challenges

Identity Revitalization: The primary objective was to develop a fresh and compelling brand identity that resonates with Africompassion's mission and values. Enhanced Visibility: The rebrand aimed to increase Africompassion's visibility and recognition across various platforms, including social media and print materials. Community Engagement: Another goal was to foster deeper connections with supporters, volunteers, and beneficiaries through effective storytelling and visual communication. Consistency and Cohesion: Ensuring consistency and cohesion in branding elements across all touchpoints was crucial to reinforce Africompassion's message and values.

Despite these challenges, our team remained committed to delivering a polished and user-friendly experience. By harnessing the power of modern technologies and creative design, we aim to provide visitors with an immersive and informative platform for exploring Durham College news and beyond.

Technology Used

The rebranding project leveraged a comprehensive suite of Adobe tools, known as the Adobe Stack, to bring the vision to life. Adobe Photoshop: Used for graphic design, image editing, and creating visual assets such as logos, illustrations, and promotional materials. Adobe Illustrator: Ideal for vector-based graphic design, Illustrator was utilized to craft scalable and high-quality brand elements, including logos, icons, and typography. Adobe InDesign: Played a key role in designing print materials such as brochures, posters, and merchandise, ensuring professional-quality layouts and presentations. Adobe Spark: This versatile tool facilitated the creation of engaging social media graphics, videos, and web pages, enabling Africompassion to amplify its message and reach a wider audience.

The culmination of the rebranding effort resulted in a cohesive and impactful identity that reflects Africompassion's values and mission.
